Are you pregnant? Have you considered donating your placenta to cadaver search dog training? They're also looking for donations of teeth if your child is at the age of losing them and you don't plan on saving them. Teeth are useful for training the dogs for cold-case work and are hard to come by as so many people save them.

    • Molly J. Orman This is what we did with Erin's placenta. The contact person for Oregon K-9 Search Teams came by to pick it up yesterday (super easy, it just gets bagged and frozen so it's not icky or messy to deal with). I even got to meet two of the dogs! I figure since I wasn't using it, I'd do something that will hopefully help another parent in a much less happy situation.

    • Kimberly Schmelzer I have several of L's teeth. I don't plan on saving them all, if any. What's the contact info?

    • Holly Hammer Olson Wow, I'll be sure to tell my sis to see if she's interested... As for the teeth, we'll have to look into that since C will prob lose some soon. Always learning something new from you! Thanks!!
