Figured out that Amazon will give me giftcard credit for the crummy "What to Expect" books the insurance company sent me. How cool is that? Now I just feel sort of bad for the people who buy them from them. *lol*

My insurance company sent me "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and "What to Expect: The First Year" as part of their pregnant mom's program and I was debating about what to do with them given that they're both rather crummy books that I have personal issues with so I didn't really want to give them to anyone I actually liked. *lol* Amazon's book/dvd/video game trade-in program accepts them though so they're paying the shipping and giving me $6 something in giftcard credit for Amazon.

If you go to the trade-in section you can search to see what books/editions they take on trade. :) We got rid of a bunch of dvds and ps2 games that way a while back too

Now that is seriously awesome.
I appreciated the What to Expect books for my first kid simply because it gave me a starting point. But they are not books for folks who believe everything they read.

There are so much better books out there though! I like the Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy (I think that's the title) one a lot better for just general, non-biased info that's fairly mainstream.

First of all, I think its weird that an insurance company sent you books, but secondly, how awesome that you get to make a few bucks to get rid of them!
